What happens in the video
1Family in the rocks
West, Kim Kardashian and their four children rest in the cleft of a rock formation on a hill, then walk hand in hand across a stone plateau.
2The convoy arrives
Relatives and the Sunday Service Choir arrive in armored vehicles; Kris Jenner steps out of a tank in a fur coat.
3The choir ending
West stands alone on a rocky outcrop, kneels and raises his hand while the choir surrounds him and sings the last lines.
4The last shot
A close-up of North West shouting “Chick-fil-A!”.
It was West’s second video with Kim Kardashian, after “Bound 2” (2013). Elsewhere in the Jesus Is King era, West and the Sunday Service Choir performed the song at the Oculus in New York for Jimmy Kimmel Live! on the album’s release day.
Why the ending became a 2026 trend
The ending is a perfect template: one still figure, a crowd in motion, a camera that pushes in. On October 14, 2026, the earliest AI remakes that trend trackers found appeared on TikTok, one with a kitten in a choir of cats and one human version captioned “Might’ve started a new trend”. Within days, AI sites offered cat, dog and Halloween choirs, and, according to trend trackers, “closed on sunday ai” started appearing as a Google search suggestion. You can read the full story in the Closed on Sunday AI trend explained.
